Transfer application requirements

Transfer students must meet one of the following requirements: 

• 12–23 transferable credit hours post-high school with a minimum 2.50 cumulative transfer GPA and meet first-year student admission requirements. 
• 24 or more transferable credit hours post-high school with a minimum 2.50 cumulative transfer GPA. 
• Associate degree from a regionally accredited higher education institution post-high school with:
  • 2.00 or higher cumulative GPA (residents). 
  • 2.50 or higher cumulative GPA (nonresidents). 

Some programs have higher admission requirements. Talk to an enrollment coach if you have any questions.

ASU requires you to send official transcripts from each high school, college, university or technical school you previously attended. Learn about requesting official transcripts.

If sending electronically:
Transcripts sent via email may be accepted if sent directly from an authorized school official at the issuing institution, or from a third-party verified source, to ASU at transcripts@asu.edu.

You may also use services such as Parchment, eSCRIP or National Clearinghouse to send electronic transcripts. Choose Arizona State University on the request form to make a request for your institution to send us your official transcripts.

*If you have completed an associate degree or higher post-high school, you do not need to send a high school transcript. If you have not completed an associate degree or higher, your official high school transcript must provide proof of graduation and you also must submit transcripts from all post-high school institutions you have attended or are currently attending.
